FSBO Closing Details

the FSBO deal is almost there! At this point, you should be just a few days from FSBO settlement (also called Closing) day. You should have completed the real estate sales contract and the disclosure statement.  (Note: Make sure the real estate sales contract is signed and dated.) Confirm with everyone that all the documentation, including the real estate sales contract and the disclosure statement is done. Make sure the buyer’s lender is ready to settle. Confirm the date and time of settlement.

Find out from the settlement agent what will be expected of you in the FSBO deal. And ask:

• Will you be at the settlement with the buyer, or can you go in earlier and sign your documents?
• If you are buying another house immediately after you settle on this one, how will funds be transferred to your next settlement?
• Was the real estate sales contract and the disclosure statement clear.

• Complete a buyer walkthrough.

Go to settlement, sign your documents and celebrate. YOU DID IT!  FSBO is not as hard as you thought!
